Tips for Advising Appointments
Plan to be in front of a computer with internet access during the appointment. Screen-sharing is often part of advising meetings.
Don’t wait to schedule your appointment until the last minute. The beginning and end of each semester are a busy time for your advisors and time slots can fill up quickly.
You don’t have to wait until you have a problem to meet with your advisor. A general "check-in” to discuss program planning is recommended.
