CSCR hosts Supply Chain Leaders Forum and Corporate Supporters Meeting
The Center for Supply Chain Research (CSCR) kicked off April with two dynamic events that brought together industry leaders, faculty, and students to exchange ideas, celebrate collaboration, and explore the future of supply chain management.
For the first time, both events were held at the Eric J. Barron Innovation Hub in downtown State College, offering attendees a unique opportunity to experience the university’s state-of-the-art facility. Guests toured the Innovation Hub’s collaborative spaces and maker labs and received custom laser-engraved keychains as a keepsake from the event.
On April 1, CSCR hosted its Spring Supply Chain Leaders’ Forum, focused on the timely topic of supply chain risk and resilience. Attendees engaged in a series of insightful presentations examining the evolving risk landscape and how organizations are adapting to ongoing global disruptions. Key discussions included strategies for building resilient supply chains and valuable lessons drawn from real-world case studies. The forum underscored the importance of knowledge-sharing and cross-sector collaboration in navigating uncertainty and strengthening supply chain performance.
The momentum continued on April 2 with the spring Corporate Supporters Meeting. Members of the CSCR Community of Practice gathered for updates on the center’s strategic initiatives, including professional development and educational programs, project updates from the Corporate Advisory Board, and research presentations from both undergraduate and doctoral students.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to recognize several corporate supporters celebrating milestone anniversaries. CSCR honored Lansdale Warehouse (20 years), Rockwell Automation (15 years), Wegmans Food Markets (15 years), the National Association of State Procurement Officials (5 years), and Sysco (5 years) for their continued partnership and commitment to advancing the field.
Together, these events showcased the strength of the CSCR community and its shared dedication to innovation, resilience, and excellence in supply chain management.
