Meghan McMullen joins CSCR

The Center for Supply Chain Research (CSCR) is pleased to welcome Meghan McMullen as the center’s newest programs manager. McMullen will oversee the center’s financial reporting, manage corporate sponsor and student research projects, support daily administrative duties and event management, and supervise center-related student scholarship information.

“We’re enthusiastic about Meghan’s decision to join the CSCR team and expect her to bring her unique skills and experience to the role in a very meaningful way,” said Steve Tracey, CSCR Executive Director. “She’ll be a great addition to our organization.”

The center’s unique positioning as an industry-facing unit initially interested McMullen, as well as the professional growth opportunity the position presented.

“I am excited to work with the various corporate sponsors that help the Center for Supply Chain Research attain its goals and see the collaborations that come from being a sponsor,” said McMullen. “I feel there is so much that I can learn from this team that I will be able to carry through my professional career.”

McMullen brings a wealth of experience in office administration, finance, and customer service from time spent working in the banking and legal professions. Most recently, her work at the Penn State Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center involved streamlining job procedures and creating increased financial efficiency. There, she adapted budget models to fit dual-office budgetary tracking and projection needs.

Working for a university is a big draw for McMullen — and one she is happy to continue to do so, sharing, “I really enjoy the setting of administrative academia. I am excited to be a part of an institution that focuses on integrity, inclusivity, and student involvement and improvement.”

“I really enjoy both the Arboretum and the Berkey Creamery, which my new office is dangerously close to.”

McMullen earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies with minors in women's studies and English from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania. In her personal time, she enjoys singing, baking, quilting, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and their Irish Setter.
