Penn State Smeal CSCR Welcomes Danone & Total Wine & More

The Penn State Smeal Center for Supply Chain Research (CSCR) announced two new corporate supporters joining its community of practice: Danone and Total Wine & More.

Founded in 1919, Danone has evolved from a yogurt company into a leading global food and beverage corporation operating in more than 120 countries. The France-based company's diverse portfolio spans yogurt, water, plant-based products, dairy, coffee and nutrition items. Danone's business model emphasizes sustainability, quality and innovation, with the company committed to becoming a certified B Corporation and achieving carbon neutrality across its operations.

Total Wine & More, established in Delaware in 1991, has grown to become the nation's largest independent fine wine retailer with more than 290 locations across 30 states and the District of Columbia. The company's portfolio includes wine, beer, microbrews and spirits, leveraging buying power to benefit suppliers and customers throughout the supply chain.

"We are excited to welcome Danone and Total Wine & More to our corporate supporter community," said Donna Palumbo, CSCR executive director. "These industry leaders bring valuable real-world perspectives that will enrich the center’s initiatives and provide our students with exceptional learning opportunities through their diverse supply chain expertise."

As corporate supporters, both companies gain access to CSCR's research engagement, executive education programs, student talent pipeline and networking opportunities with supply chain professionals.
