Corporate Finance Boot Camp
The Finance Department at the Smeal College of Business at Penn State is proud to introduce the Corporate Finance Boot Camp — an immersive, high-impact program designed to prepare top-performing students for careers in Corporate Finance.
Built to strengthen your technical, analytical, and presentation skills, the Corporate Finance Boot Camp delivers the training, mentorship, and professional exposure needed to excel in today’s competitive finance landscape. Our mission is to cultivate a community of highly motivated, hardworking, and intellectually curious students and support them throughout the academic year as they pursue their career goals.
Participants receive hands-on coaching in essential areas including networking, résumé development, interview preparation, financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and valuation. Weekly sessions during the semester ensure steady progress and deep skill development—and are exclusively reserved for Boot Camp students.
Unmatched Corporate Access & Site Visits
Boot Camp students gain direct access to Penn State alumni at industry-leading companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Vanguard, Capital One, Citi, Nasdaq, Marriott, ESPN, DuPont, PNC, Salesforce, and more. Participants also engage with recruiters from multiple sectors, Smeal faculty, and a cohort of ambitious peers.
The program further distinguishes itself through exclusive corporate site visits, competitive case competitions, and collaborative projects with local organizations. Recent site visits have included tours of Vanguard’s headquarters in Malvern, PA, and Marriott International’s headquarters in Bethesda, MD. These immersive experiences offer firsthand exposure to corporate finance roles, workplace culture, and invaluable professional networking opportunities.
